Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Shop263 — sellers, staff and buyers. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Breaching it may lead to content removal, suspension or permanent closure of your account, and reporting to the authorities where appropriate.

2. Prohibited & restricted goods

You must not list, sell or facilitate the sale of:

• Illegal drugs, controlled substances or related paraphernalia;
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or other weapons restricted by law;
• Counterfeit, stolen, or smuggled goods, or items that infringe intellectual property;
• Endangered species, ivory, or protected wildlife products;
• Hazardous, recalled or unsafe products;
• Adult sexual content or services, and any content involving minors;
• Prescription medicines or medical devices without the required authorisation;
• Currency, financial instruments, or items used to enable fraud;
• Any other goods or services prohibited under Zimbabwean law.

Some categories (for example alcohol, tobacco, or supplements) may be allowed only where the seller holds the necessary licences and complies with the law.

3. Honest listings

Sellers must describe products accurately, use images they have the right to use, set real prices and stock, and honour the delivery and returns terms they publish. No bait-and-switch, fake scarcity, or misleading claims.

4. Honest reviews & ratings

Reviews must reflect genuine buyer experiences. Do not post fake reviews, pay for reviews, review your own shop, or use reviews to harass. We may remove reviews and act against accounts that manipulate them.

5. Respectful conduct

Do not harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against other users or our staff. Do not post hateful, violent or unlawful content.

6. Platform integrity

Do not attempt to:

• Gain unauthorised access to accounts, data or systems;
• Probe, scan or test the security of the platform without permission;
• Introduce malware, scrape at scale, or overload the Service;
• Circumvent fees, limits, suspensions or security controls;
• Impersonate another person, business or Shop263 itself.

7. Lawful use

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax, licensing and the Cyber and Data Protection Act when handling other people's data.

8. Reporting

If you see a listing, shop or message that breaches this AUP, please report it from the shop's page or report a shop. We review reports and take appropriate action.

9. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, withhold marketplace listings, and cooperate with law enforcement to enforce this AUP. Serious or repeated breaches may result in a permanent ban.
